tryed everything ,soakin with lube ,hittin with a hammer the head stock wont come out ,when i try twistin it out the forks and wheel start twisting , any help ?  ;D |

I'm having the same problem with a grifter mate I've ruined 2 stem bolts, smashed my thumb with a hammer got a bar stuck in the steerer and generally got the hump with it  Squirted loads of duck oil up it tonight and we'll see what happens tomorrow, if no joy I'll get the blow torch out. |

have you tried fitting the stem bolt from the fork end with some sockets over it and trying to pull the spreader nut down? Be carefull not to strip the thread though

what iam goin to do is plan b leave it as it is dont want to damage anything clean the orginal paint the best i can paint the black headstock by hand and get some new decals u seen the decals on the bay ,they look good ! |

They are top decals mate, look in the for sale section as Mark sells them here also  Gus sells chainguards on here too! |

tryed everything ,soakin with lube ,hittin with a hammer the head stock wont come out ,when i try twistin it out the forks and wheel start twisting , any help ?MINE WAS TOUGH WHAT I DID UNDO THE STEM TOP NUT A COUPLE OF TURNS THEN TAP THE HEAD IT WILL DROPP DOWN AN BE LOOSE THEN REMOVE IT UNSCREW IT OU TIL U CAN REMOVE IT YYHEN THE ONLY THING HOLDING THE STEM INTO THE FORK IS SOME COROSION I USED A 4 FOOT CROW BAR IN THE FORK CROWN AND ATACHED A A LARGE PLUMBERS WRENCH TO STEM TUURN FORK TILL WRENCH LOCKS AGAINST FRAME THEN JUMP ON CROWBAR BE CAREFULL NOT TO BEND ANYTHIN SOME THING WILL GIVE HOPFULLY IT WILL BE THE STEM AND I BET U WILL LUBE IT BEFORE RE ASEMBY  ;D |

OH DIDNT FANMCY HAMMERING IT TOO MUCH BEING CAST PART VERY STRONG TO HOLD THEM WIDE BARS NEEEDS STRENTH BUT WILL IT CRACK IF HAMMED ?
