I think that carters (and mine) are very good john i will post some pictures of my restored frame to see what you think. It hard to compare the paint to the original unless you have a brand new bike thats not had any fading from the sun. Supergrip said that carters restored red frame was near perfect i would love to compare the two to see if theres any difference. There was a difference in the red and blue shades from month to month and from one painter to another after all it was the 70s!!! I cant wait to see your bike built up mate.

(only joking mate) I know you would of done a wicked job on the paint as i know you are a perfectionist and im so happy your restoring the mk1 you got off me ;D Once i start the red pre pro which should be next week i will post the pictures up. It will be interesting to see what the colour looks like in the sun (its so hard not to overload the red topcoat) Check out my blue pre pro (thats an easy colour to match) im posting some updates now.
