Finally cracked the mk1 1976 red colour!

I think that carters (and mine) are very good john i will post some pictures of my restored frame to see what you think.
It hard to compare the paint to the original unless you have a brand new bike thats not had any fading from the sun.

Supergrip said that carters restored red frame was near perfect i would love to compare the two to see if theres any difference.

There was a difference in the red and blue shades from month to month and from one painter to another after all it was the 70s!!!

I cant wait to see your bike built up mate.

if i showed you my bikes you would want them all john!!! (only joking mate) I know you would of done a wicked job on the paint as i know you are a perfectionist and im so happy your restoring the mk1 you got off me ;D

Once i start the red pre pro which should be next week i will post the pictures up. It will be interesting to see what the colour looks like in the sun (its so hard not to overload the red topcoat)
