The R.A.C van that it was on the back of looked great though I could'nt believe that i'd have to miss out on the ride back then the driver told me that we had to come back from Stratford Upon Avon via Southampton i was truly gutted

Your fork stanchions look to be in decent nick. Mine were starting to chip and corrode slightly so I've fitted gaiters (see pic) Very retro. James has some fitted too. A tenner from ebay. Better than £95 a stanchion!!!!

Yeah it does but I think it's an illusion performed by the shape of the tank or something. The GSX1400 motor is pretty much the same size physically as a 1200 Bandit which ain't that different from a 600 Bandit motor in physical size. Theoretically then, my motor should fit in your bike.....but don't get any ideas! Seeing your Bandit again reminds me that I have a nearly new set of 600 Bandit throttle cables (two off, the open and close cables) in my garage. I was going to ebay them as they are expensive new but I'll hang onto them now and give them to you when I next see you. I got them when James bought a Hyosung 250 last year. The bike was great apart from the switchgear so I picked up a set of switches from a crashed Bandit on ebay and fitted those to it. The cables came with the right hand switch as it incorporates the throttle mechanism and because the guy selling them couldn't be bothered to remove them.
