The ebay description said.... just needs a dusting off im not sure what planet these people are on but my idea of a bike being "tidy" isnt the same as "its totally shafted" which is how i would describe this tired stars and stripes still, never mind, lets look at what 30 quid has just bought me Ok maybe im being a bit picky, maybe the bloke just forgot to mention the seat and bars were goosed, the pedals were tossed, the mudguards fcuked, single speed!!!, beautiful original paint work and decals NOT!!! but on the plus side, the plastic chain guard is good, the brake blocks look mint, the brake caliper chrome will be A+ and the cable clips look like NOS which can all go on other projects (im building a blue mk1 for my boy), and at a push i guess the wheels will live again so if you break it all down i dont feel like ive been back scuttled to much ........

there is a few parts you can use for a mk1 col! Chain seatclamp wheels (if you dont mind the hub date being wrong) headset wheelnuts stand headbadge brakes mudguards (just cut the rear one down) pedal arms/chainwheel-guard bottom bracket all the clips so all you need is a nice mk1 frame and forks, seat, handlebars and some good pedals! When you look at it like that col £30 was a great deal mate! I spy another top draw resto for your lucky boy! (you had to put that lovley mk1 in the background just to tease me!!!)

chrome work looks good all over the bike, you'd pay a lot more for the individual components. A goo buy in my opinion

i must admit it will have some good parts (i hate breaking grifters), it just amazed me how someone can P.M. you with "it really is a minter" and "its worth three times that" and it turns out to be a dog, BUT if i put all my bits and pieces together (i got a couple of rough mk1's with the GS) i should get a tidy restored blue mk1 for my boy, what better bike could a daddy give
