Twin Tomahawks

Got these 2 today. They had been offered to my friend who runs a BMX shop, he didn't want them but gave me the old man who had them's number.
I rang up and got told "they are 2 Raleigh Chippers, they need work but i wont be offended if you dont want them"!
I assured him i probably would want them regardless
Anyway i went and picked them up from the old guy, they had been his kids bitd.
I said i was really pleased with them as i fix up old bikes as a hobby. His wife said "thats a unusual hobby, thanks for saving us a trip to the dump" ;D
Unusual rod brakes which ive never seen on a Tomahawk before so they must be quite early.
Anyone got any info?

I didn't know they came with rod brakes. find!!!

Are they for sale I like them

I have got the one with both tyres on, in a rideable condition, ive put a slightly better rear tyre on it as the original had worn right through!
This one is For Sale £50 only thing missing is a front brake block although the brake still works without it ! and obviously theres no front mudguard.
Cash on collection only.
Someone else currently has first dibs but if they pass i will let you know and will put it in the For Sale section
