Bomber seat post

Does anyone know the size of the seatpost on the bomber? (mines a 26' wheel searchlight model) Mines looking a little tired and I want to replace it. However, when I took it out to measure it yesterday I discovered that the bottom end of it has been squashed! So, as a result, I can't get an accurate measurement. Do any off the other raleigh bikes of that era fit, or would it be possible to get a new one? Any help appreciated. Ta.

measured my bomber seat post and its a 1 inch seat post if that helps

Thanks for the help. Just got a new chromed steel 1 inch diameter seatpost through from Hopkins Cycles on ebay today - only £5.50! Fits fine.
