New years day parade 2012

Here's a few of us crazy lot taking part in this yrs parade through the streets of London. The weather was kind to us until we finished the route at 2pm then the heavens opened.




Costumes on well for most of us !!!
We head off to our start point at pall mall








































Pearly kings & queens







Some of you might of spent your money on this place playing monopoly over Xmas





Carnival entrants as far as you can see





Someone said the Mods were about





Not to worry the police were on stand by





Some thought it was time for a melt down before we started the 2 mile route





Batman arrives on the Bat mobile





Anyone lost a satellite dish





Mean while others were fettling and chatting

















The Icemen cometh








Lucky we had the Judge on our side











Disaster strikes and the Snow machines decides to thaw out.





All hands to the pump and we try to revive it.








Ron decides to add more flags





Yours truly tries to get him a few more





The stilt walkers prepair











Some trying to get over there fear of heights





12pm on the 1st Jan 2012 and were off





1st casualty of the day, a puncture caused by glass fragments from the night before, but due to the slow nature it gave ample time to repair

I get that call every day, It's a hazard of wearing a lovely warm rainmac and a hat to keep my head warm.

I'm wearing a 3 piece suit under that rain mac and genuine early 1940's hat!

But why ?
I've only ever had one suit that I wore once for my first wedding and that's it. One shirt and one tie too
Can't be comfortable

Mushroom, It is PERFECTLY comfortable and warm too, plus it is Worn Daily to boot.
