While on holiday in good old Chapel St leonards in August I drove past a yard sale where there was a tatty old Raleigh bike for sale,I called in to have a look and came back with a 1993 Raleigh G Force for £10 for my son as a bit of holiday transport. When we got back from holiday it was decided by us both (well me mainly ) to turn it into a miniture retro BMX but first we had a bit of fun with a couple of rattle cans and a poundland motor bike grip. We then decided to go for a similar look to my Datsun 100a which is yellow and black,so the bike was stripped And powder coated. And now the rebuild has started with some additional extras Got some front pegs coming in the post and I need to decide what seat to have but so far its coming together. More soon.

Starting to come together now,not sure about the seat and I would probably prefer some better wheels but quite pleased with the progress.

i reckon the seat is the best part (the rest is good too). would those forks take a set of striker/boxer handlebars- they would look more bmx-ey.

the forks spin on bushes? (ie no bearings) and then the forks just slide straight into the fork and are held by the clamp on the top? thats typical little raleigh! my chipper is the same, and i presume strika/boxer is too. that seat was a bargain, although padding looks minimal.
