This breaks my heart! 20 years ago(ish) my best mate offered me his mk1 Mustang mtb to buy. His brother in law worked at Raleigh so got it through his work, i reckon i payed him about £70 for it which wasn't cheap but worth it. I kept it for about 8 years and altered it slightly, back then we tried to improve things. I had it fitted with 18 speed SIS instead of 15 speed index shifters on new rear wheel. Got married and ex wife bought me my Raleigh Max Ogre, we split up and i left the Mustang in the locked coal house when we sold the house. The next owners had nice suprise when opening up!!!! I could cry

I had a raleigh mustang black and white back in 1990 i was 8. It was only a 5 speed with 20 inch wheels. I always remember the decal on the top tube of the fading mustangs . Happy days....

Yes same frame/colour, mine was 26" wheels. Chrome rims back then no alloy ones.
