Hi All
Here are some pics of my daughters Mk 1 Mini Burner
I didn't take any pics of it when i got it , but it was red with yellow thread bare tyres, no seat, and more rusty bits than a very rusty thing
I stripped it back to bare metal and began the respray
I decided on the Team style, as i have an Andy Ruffell Team replica, and thought it would be cool for us to be riding side by side, with the same style paint scheme on our bikes
As you can see, did hers pink tho
Sprayed the top of the stem to match the forks and front of the frame. Also, sprayed the chainwheel guard black, and coated it with lots of lacquer, seems to be ok!!
Autosol'd the wheels, bars, crank, chainring, brake calipers and levers, and the rest of the stem. Could do with a set of white mags on this, as the wheels are pitted and a bit buckled, but as my daughter is only 3 and a half, think i have a bit of time to sort this before she rides it!! ;D
I then got a modern seat, smallest one i could find. Then got some white AME Mini grips ( from a member on BW Cheers Liam!) Brought some new white brake cables and DC cable clamps, and the only white and pink pedals i could find ( not sure if they look to big, what do you think??)
Then started to put it all back together. The finishing touch was the personalised decals i had made. Made a bit of a f*#k up with these when i applied them tho, put the "Burner" decal a bit close to the BB But as i said my daughter will only be 4 and a half when she gets this, this christmas coming, so i don't think she will be too fussed
All comments welcome, good or bad
Cheers,
Paul.
