My old man had a gold saloon with overdrive and it drank so much petrol it made my camper look economical He had an allegro estate before the volvo and that remains one of the worst cars I've ever driven. The worst was a Citroen DS

Shes not too bad on fuel as shes only the 2 litre, does about 25mpg around town and about 30mpg on a run,not bad for saying she weighs more than your average battleship.

My old man had a gold saloon with overdrive and it drank so much petrol it made my camper look economical He had an allegro estate before the volvo and that remains one of the worst cars I've ever driven. The worst was a Citroen DS how was the ds the worst? My dad drives a ds23 pallas every single day. Its awesome... does 28ish mpg mixed driving, Its like driving a sofa,You simply dont feel bumps, And its bloody quick if you want it to be... 125 ish flat out in 1974 for a family saloon wasnt bad Power steering, power brakes, Huge discs up front... 5 speed box Im driving it to a local classic car show on boxing day.. And hes driving the bug... ;D I was gonna drive the bug but he decided to let me drive the ds On the volvo side of things, My dad had a 245 auto estate a few years back, Full leather, 2.3 lump. He reakons it wasnt bad on fuel,

I hate the DS because of that disconnected feeling when you drive it Wallowy ride, vague steering and very expensive to repair. My mate was French and brought one over with him. Total hydraulics failure meant it wasn't worth him fixing it in this country and ended up with his brother driving over from France to trailer it back home. ( This was back in the 80s though, before ebay ) And to top it all they are ugly
