do you mean the infra-red ones that have a ltd ed. no where the gearlever would be on a mk1 or mk2? pretty sure these were just done to get more sales for raleigh, and were identical to the standard mk3, just with added LE frame number. they did ither specials, but these were in crazy paint schemes. and of course the blue world cup se and the white england or ben sherman ones- think the red le was realeased with the repro burner

yeah its a ben shearman one but bars are different to normal mk3 i found that i just wanna now if there sprayed silver or something else there not chrome thats for sure

my mk3 has a nasty dull electroplated finish (where its not rusty) that is not unlike the colour of aluminium, but it obviously isn't as its rusty!

turns out the bars on any mk3 (the dull silver finish) is CLEAR CADMIUM PLATING, a process often used in the aerospace industry, and is cheaper than chrome, and prevent base metal corrosion. raleigh probably used it because its cheap, and they wanted to stop the cheap metal underneath rusting through- but the surface finish is only ever as good as the metal underneath!
