boring maybe, but theres always something thats looked odd with my may 1976 grifter and ive worked out what it is, the headbadge is higher than any of the other grifters i have, even the october 76 is in the standard place and i just wondered if any of the other may 76 owners had the same thing or is this just a one off and some raleigh worker didnt line the jig up right ..... OCTOBER 1976 1977 1978 1979 and this is the MAY 1976

Hi Col
Brrr, Just nipped out to the Grifter storage facility in mi boxers to have a look at my May 76 and the headbadge is in a similar position to the majority of my Mk1's.
As the new health and safety officer for the Grifter section I must warn you that your erratically high headbadge is a danger to the public and could pose a danger to other road users. I'll will be round tomorrow to impound your May 76 Grifter at my place ;D

Part of my roll as H & S will be the filtering out of certain words. You can no longer use the word 'Seat' as this could cause upset to people who are seat challenged. It must now be referred to as a 'glutius maximus load bearing armature'.
I will also be changing my user name as the word 'Super' has connotations of elitism and power which could offend people of a nervous nature. I will now be known as 'Grip' ;D

what about "the grip" or "man grip" i think they would suit you andy!! (or should that be andrew for fear of upsetting the "group against shortening names" )

Women of a certain nature might be offended by the singular word 'Grip'. It has connotations which pertain to male sexual aggression! therefore I recomned that you join the ranks of Prince or is that symbol? Whatever! I shall return to my glutius maximus load bearing armature and stimulate my ocular cavities with televisual entertainment.
