Avatar story line is based on the "Basic" story called the "Hero`s Journey" Many many films use this story line, from the Seven Sumari`s to Star Wars- New Hope and a load of crap in between. Avatar stands out more because they retold it very well, including spirituality, shamanism, anti war, anti capitalism etc etc. Here`s your homework for tonight, www.mcli.dist.maricopa.edu/smc/journey/ref/summary.html en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monomyth

I saw it yesterday. I expected a lot more. Story is good but very very predictable, Has some awfully cheesy lines in it. She says "I see you" he replies "I see you" I almost threw up right there in the cinema And precious metal was called Unobtanium But i only went for the 3d and i'd say it wasnt that much better than 3d that we've seen being released in the cinema over the past year. Came out disappointed for a film i've wanted to see for ages.

Nah it was ok. The jungle had the best scenes. But i did wonder if they only looked so real because of the fact that they were using alot of fluorescent colours.
