Maverick 15 Speed

Well it's rougher than I thought it would be, loads of rusty patches and cracked sidewalls meant I nearly walked away
But then I rode it, so smooth, all the gears work lovely, 26 x 1.75 weinmann wheels with no buckles
Bomber seat has a small tear in it, plastic chrome mudguards and rear carrier can go on ebay.
Bare metal and clear laquer is the plan
Bars are flat and narrow so I'm going for a set of cowhorns or Renthals

won these bars on ebay for a fiver, so they're going on this week

Got the renthals on today and after faffing about I can now see why the brake levers were swapped over.
The gear levers foul on the brake lever clamps, I'll have to swap the levers and cables over so the clamp bolts sit underneath

Used up the spare pair of bomber bar ends

Fitted the electra hibiscus seat and now I'm on tip toes, so the seat will have to go down

Left the SR stem on there for the moment

Went for a little run tonight, not bothering to take note of the wind direction.
Whizzed along the prom to Brighton Pier and then struggled the 5 miles home again against the wind
Gritter lorry went past at one time too ( after me saying to waz it was tropical tonight )

Stopped at the restored Victorian bandstand to take a couple of pics
