Any hub date? My Strika has '75 on it. But that is a coaster model.

Hello Mike,
The Raleigh Boxer was introduced at the same time as the iconic Raleigh Grifter (1976) As your probably aware it came in two colours, steel blue or yellow. Strangely enough, and i don't know why, the Raleigh Boxer was not stamped with any frame numbers or hub dates. The only way to roughly guesstimate is by the frame configuration and how the rear mudguard is attached to the bike. As for the MX Tyres? Well if you have an early frame configuration it may be a Pre Production model. If not the tyres could have been replacements at a later date. (i think this maybe the case) If you can post some pictures i will have a closer look.
Here is an example of an early 1976 frame, Note no bottom plate and the rear mount on the seat tube to mount the rear mudguard. Another feature are the snake bend bottom stays
Here is an example of a 1976/77 frame, bottom plate added with mudguard mount. The extra mounting bracket on the seat tube is dropped
Granted you will have to look closer to see the bottom bracket.
Early frames also have "Ballhead" ends and later frames had "chiselhead" ends. Another feature of later frames was that the bottom stays are straight and the bottom plate wider. Frames like this are roughly dated late 1978/9 I will add pics later to show this
