Wonderful Wheeled Weekend?

Right then Kids, here’s the rub.

I know it’s quite close to, well, very close to Billing, but I’m organising a two day bicycle festival here in Northampton on the 19th and 20th of June.

The festival will take place on the Market square, which is slap bang in the middle of town.

Here is what I have got so far………….

Saturday the 19th.
Market Square.

Static display of bicycles through the ages, from the 1900’s right up to modern carbon fibre racing bikes.

Mobile Police Station with bicycle security marking.

Live Pimp My Ride.

Local and national bike clubs

Bike Doctor.

Saturday the 19th Evening.
Fishmarket.

The Bicycle Ball.

Entertainment to include.

The Cycle powered Cinema

Rolapulooza head to head static racing

Puncture kit, a bicycle based drummer, look him up on myspace!

Sunday the 20th
Market Square.

Cycle Jumble

Bicycle Basket Bazaar

Bike polo demonstration?

Part of the town centre shut down for racing?..........Board Trackers?

Mass led ride, critical mass stylee?

This is just the bones at the moment, hopefully it will be fleshed out a little more, if anyone would like to be involved in any or both days, displaying bikes and or selling stuff, or would like to offer up anything else they think would fit in please feel free to get in touch, also if you are a member of any other boards where you think this may be relevant, please copy and paste it up.

Trains permitting, come on down on the sunday, we'll be having a Bicycle Basket Bazaar and a cycle jumble, along with a bunch of other stuff....................
