Anyway, broke it down and cleaned it up today, some of the chrome came up well some didnt Rear wheel was stripped and relaced as find it easier to clean the rims that way rather than working round all the sopkes! Spoke guard came up really well some chrome is way past polishing

All i know is the early mk2 frames from 72 have the frame number on the rear drop out like the mk1, and they have the smaller reflector pedals. But it is possible that yours could have been replaced. My s.e. has mk1 handle bars, god knows why.. Ill be changing them soon though...

my mk2 has no seriel number not anywhere (is this unusual?) it has a few mk1 bits on it that look to be original to the bike. It come from italy. Im in the middle of cleaning and rebuilding it back up.

Im in the middle of cleaning and rebuilding it back up. I would say that is unusual ive always managed to find a serial number. Its only bikes like budgies and tomahawks that dont seem to have them. Could be a rare one matey...

Broke it down again today to try and free up the sissy bar as its just a tad to low for me to ride comfortably. i placed the bar over a fence post as suggested and nothing happened apart from the seat tabs bending All I can do now is keep squirting duck oil down the tubes and hope it will free off in time
