I know Paul said patience and autosol but I've not got enough of either Trying to clean up this oxidized aluminium Claud Butler to sell it. Ive tried autosol but it's not as good as this Lucas Metal Polish but it still takes ages Shall I strip the stickers off and just go at it with a DA sander and very fine grit paper ? It's pretty heavily oxidized

I can't tell if it's oxidised under a coat of clear lacquer.
If it is you'd be better off using your old friend, Nitromors first. If it's just bare alloy try some Wonder Wheels alloy wheel cleaner first, then follow up with polishing.
Those polishing kits sold in the ads in the back of magazines like Classic Bike and The Classic Motorcycle are damned good but they don't half creat some mess with polish flung everywhere!
