Nice, I wouldn't bother with the raleigh centre, I went there for a budgie inner tube and he told me they didn't do an 11" tube. I asked him to look in the catalogue and when he found it he told me it would take 2 weeks to get here I hope you then told him that sorry i couldnt possibly buy it as it doesnt exsist.

They were pretty decent last time I dropped in there on one of the XLs, searching out the right size of cotter pins and ball bearings for me, and said they'd do a good price on a new set of redlines with Raleigh tubes, too.

The bike is now stripped to individual components. The frame has been degreased, cleaned with muc-off and had 34 years of ingrained dirt T-cut off the surface of what's left of the paint. As I'm going to be rebuilding it as a go-not-show bike it's had half a dozen coats of lacquer and is now curing in the garage.
