I bought some foam grips for my MK1 Mustang off Ebay and am well pleased with them, they look really similar to the ones that were on it (which im sure are the same as your Bomber) and were a bargain (about £3.50 I think?) the seller was something like derekcyclesonline will look it up for def if you need some

SJS cycles have a good selection of gear, especially for the older bikes. I've saved the link in my favourites

Hi just joined this new forum for Bombers. I still have my 5 speed Bomber from '84, which is needing some restoration (and new tyres!!) You called the blue bomber the 'super bomber', I thought the 5 speed one was called that? Well done restoring it though, looks so much better than some of these scaffold frame mountain bikes you get in Aldi's!! Cheers Graham

Cheers Graham thanks It's no so much as restoration as make it original and ride it. I don't want anything polished and shiney, I want to use it without worrying about scratching it. I thought blue ones were super bombers as it said so in the Raleigh advertising

The super bombers are the chromed framed versions that were "superchromed" the same as the burners
