It's pretty ropey, missing the blue tyres and the blue stuff is peeling off everywhere. Rear brake cable is seized in the outer, so a new set is needed. Saddle is non-original, supposedly off a posty bike. Grips are past it too Havn't ridden it yet, but held it and spun the wheels and they don't look too buckled Not sure what to do about the blue, tempted to peel the lot off at the moment

Same shifter as my Brompton. Was this the standard Sturmey Archer replacement at the time?

Aha, the vanashing ebay bomber!! If the chrome is good underneath then it can be recoated and will look as new, decals can be bought from Mark at Retrospect cycles (check the forsale section) I have 2 used tyres available for these bikes and I'm sure I can sort your rear brake issues out also. Cool bike

Yes it vanished after I sent a message saying would you take £50 for it She took it off straight away, I was just hoping it was cheap enough and I got my money's worth Rear brake cable is jammed soild and it's frayed near the ferrule at the lever, I think a new cable is in order How much for the tyres ? I'd better tread carefully as I ended up winning a grifter today as well, oops

Are the foam grips easy enough to get hold of ? I might just rob the old raleigh wildcat for it's grips instead

that torpedo shifter probably came off the same postie bike as the seat, I've got a couple of postie bikes with them on, they also come on a lot of continental three speed coasters..........what a geek.

Those forks look too straight on the 26" one. You got a bargain with the 24" one mate, get the chrome work cleaned up ant it'll be a beaut

Thanks Paul, just got the sturmey archer shifter from ebay for £2.40, so hers should be sorted after a chrome cleanup. That super grifter on ebay's gone up to a tenner, so I might have to offer him the extra for the seat
