stumbled across this raleigh "the all steel bicycle" earlier this week and rescued it from an uncertain fate today - apparently it had been abandoned some 20 years ago at a farm right out in the sticks don't really know anything about it but was drawn to ye olde worlde brakes and the fact it was raleigh. the hub date is 56 9 and i think it's fair to say that the overall coniditon is "rusty" but it seems to be more or less all there. rear inner tube is punctured so haven't done a test ride as of yet but holding high hopes that it seems to be in full working order! its not really my thing to be honest and not sure what i'll do with it - but couldn't let it waste away where it was!

ride it around with a price on it, someone will have it. I'd take it if it were a gents one

a gents model would be nicer... in a perfect world i'd keep hold of it and eventually get round to giving it a nice tidy but sadly going to have to thin out my small cycle collection
