Ive just got a chopper and it needs a gear cable attatched ..I do have one but not a clue how to fit it ..Ive tried to google answer to no avail...thankyou..

hopefully its a proper mk1 or2 chopper remove gear knob/unscrew 2x base screws/unscrew toggle chain and rear fulcrum clip which clamps it to the frame/lift shifter off bike/unscrew phillips screw beneath base which holds cover on/gently gently take table and dayglo slider off/with some pliers pull the outer cable ferrule from the casting/and then cable end will push out--job done. or bring it round my house and ill do it ;D

Thanks mate it is now fitted just 2 gears working presently though...Its a proper chopper an october 1972 ultra violet mk2 in a bit of a sorry state .. ill get pics up later..

She needs a bit of operating on,she rides beautifull just looks as rough as a badgers ass at the moment... this is the donor bike for bits tis handy for nuts and bolts brakes and gear linkage..

thanks...front wheel is pretty good just axel a bit rusty for now ..back wheel chrome is knackered but i have 2 grifters so may borrow a wheel.....a seat is priority that one is awful...

9 81 is lorna the shoppers birth date... the seat isnt fixed to post so its a bit wobbly..
