Raleigh or Triang?

Hoping someone can help me out here.

In 1967 (I was six) , my parents bought me a red framed with blue mudguards boys bike - as seen from the link here if it works. It also had a pullrod front brake.

My brother and I have an ongoing debate about it. I reckon it was a Triang, he says a Raleigh.

A better pic of my daughter's. Hers doesn't have a chain guard. I think the top bar removes and is placed to form the chain guard for a girls bike?

Yes, that's right, but it looks much better as a boy's bike .... Here's a nos chainguard on ebay....

I've just read your actual post.... no the top tube doesn't make a chainguard, but I can see how you thought it might....
