Wow, some fellow 80s junk lovers!! I've got 2 Dragon 32's, the tape deck for it, that Amstrad/Sinclair made thing with the tape player built in, a Star Bird and base in their boxes, the Star Bird invader thing, a Simon, a Big Trak, and I loads of Matchbox cars and Convoy trucks boxed. One of these days I'm gonna buy the Grandstand Astro Wars and Firefox games. I've always felt quite lucky being born in the early 70's as everyone who did got to experience the dawn of electronic toys, Star Wars and the first home computers. Nowadays theres so much poor quality electronic that that the kids just don't get any sort of kick out of, its all 'just there'. I loved things like Airwolf and Knight Rider, as long as it was only car scenes as I thought the Hoff was a ponce!!

I took my Astro Wars to work recently, Didnt check the chargers power after it had been in the bag, plugged it in, heard the electronic startup sound then my boss said theres nothing on the screen. Realised it had too many volts running into it. So now i have no Astro Wars. I felt like a right plum and upset at the same time  |
