one careful owner, the other five didnt care , this is the beginnings of my boys mk1 spacey blue restoration, i got the paint sorted this week so thats the hard bit done, decals from gus have landed and i have a few NOS bits knocking about so let the fun begin........








all was going well with the strip down until i got to moving the bars, they wouldnt budge, out with the mechoil and let it soak, still nothing so brute force was needed, i didnt want to damage the good bars or forks so i wedged the forks into a pallet and it worked a treat without any damage that a vice can do....





now for the paint stripper

where did you find that!!! (those mudguards are a dream come true!!! i wont then!) Do you have a seat for it mate? I have a mk1 boxer/grifter seat with the shorter stem that would suit your boy. Pm me mate if you need it.

Did you mix your own paint like the red mk1? I found an almost perfect match to the sample i took to the paintshop but as we know there are different shades of space blue depends on the painter at the time! ;D
