77 red

painted the final stage of the candy red today and the colour is pretty much bang on, it even flips from red to bronze in sun light

this is just one coat of candy on top of the gold ground coat



three coats later and its looking as close as original....






tried to get a pic of original frame against new painted frame....




job done so now for the best bit, the decals and build up and for anyone thats interested, this is the paint i used.......

Right thats it im booking a weeks holiday in blackpool,loading the van with my grifters and coming round to your garage carter!!! youve done a wicked job thats spot on. Thank very much for helping us with the paint i cant wait to get mine done now youve made my day.

Theres a paint shop near me that sells to the public i will have to pop over there to see how much the paint is.

Im also going to try and get a deal on sandblasting the frames.
I will get three done at the same time and wrap them up till i can get all the parts to rebuild them.

the story so far, NOS mk1 bars fitted, most of the original shiny bits fitted, painting rear mud guard tomorrow, need to locate thimbles, nearly there.....
