Hi all. I have just acquired a 1989? Raleigh Record Sprint. I must say, it's fantastic and am loving every minute of it! Rides like a dream. Done well over 100 miles on it already! But am just wondering if it is a record sprint or a record, an 'SXC' or none of the above?!
The guy I bought it off said it was a RRS but on an image search in Google it doesn't seem to suggest so. Can anyone please help me on this because I would love to know. I have tried to research it and finding it tricky! One forum post suggested "they used to call them Blackie" ....which rings true as its completely black but still am not convinced its a Record. Please help if you know more on these. I'd love to find out some knowledge and history. Thanks for looking, Mike.
